This course presents the values, practices, and basic principles linked to Agile software development processes. You will also find a brief introduction to some of the most popular approaches.

This course allows you to better understand the advantages of Agile approaches as well as the challenges related to the introduction of an Agile approach in your organization.

Objectives

The primary goal of this course is to allow developers, managers, and quality assurance supervisors to understand the development philosophy behind Agile approaches and to identify advantages for your organization. This course also aims at initiating participants to Agile approaches such as Extreme Programming (XP) and Scrum, as well as some popular practices. Through discussions, it also aims at making you understand the challenges related to the adoption of an Agile software development approach in your organization.

This one-day course can be adapted to better meet the participant needs and knowledge levels. It is a lecture-style course where participants will have the opportunity to discuss with an expert who has been actively involved in the implementation of Agile processes in development teams.
