Description

Software use is rarely an end in itself. Software is rather a tool to help workers meet their objectives. However, during the development of software interfaces, we do not always consider user needs and expectations, resulting in software that is poorly used, used without taking advantage of the functionalities provided, or not used at all.

Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be better equipped to integrate software usability practices into their development projects. They will be familiar with different tools allowing them to design usable user interfaces, evaluate existing interfaces, and carry out tests with software users to validate software usability. Participants will have a better understanding of certain cognitive principles that will enable them to better understand user behaviours in relation to software presented.

Target audience

Members of a software development team and managers who wish to enhance their practical knowledge of software usability.

Prerequisites

This course is focusing on user experience. No code is presented or studied. Consequently, no programming experience is required.
